“It’s Not How You Start, It’s How You FINISH!”
Safeco had purchased a race car to advertise and promote their services using their theme ‘Perfomance Driven to Serve You Best.’ The manager of the department wanted to involve the employees in a team activity on a commercial race track. The presentation was then tailored to utilize their theme. Racing terminology was applied to the different character styles they learned about in the morning session to their activities on the race track later that afternoon. Working as a team, they rotated through different key racing positions and until it was their turn to drive a race car around the track.
Safeco employee ready to race!
Their employees learned:
– How to communicate in a style that gives their co-workers or clients what they want, while getting the response they desire in return
– Ways to develop a clearer understanding of each individual’s strengths and needs
– How to work cohesively as a team to finish tasks with ease, within budget
Whether the audience is made up of entrepreneurs, small business owners, sales professionals, managers, or customer service reps this program will propel them to greater heights of achievement.
Hunter Douglas sells window coverings. Their products were ideal metaphors to use to describe some of the basic character styles. For example: Some people are like drapes – flexible and easy going. Others are more like shades – rigid and controlling.
”Excellent! The seminar walked through a method of handling communication issues with clear and thoughtful answers. It will help our customer service representatives resolve many issues that arise day to day.”
– Maria Helms, HR Manager, Hunter Douglas in Northern California
